The History Of Toyota LITE ACE

The Toyota Liteace is a line of motor vehicles produced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota. Launched in 1970, the Liteace is a medium-sized van commonly distributed to Asia, Australia and Africa for personal or commercial use.

The Liteace was marketed in two different forms:

  • A box-like and more angular design, similar to a Nissan C22 (Vanette).
  • A more MPV-like design, with design cues of the Toyota Hiace.

The Toyota Liteace Noah, an MPV replaced by the Toyota Noah, was also released.

In 2008, a new model based on the Daihatsu Gran Max which launch in Indonesia in late 2007 replace the Toyota LiteAce along with Toyota TownAce in Japan. Both truck and van type are available in 1.5L engine.
