Engine management light stays on ( limp mode ) 1995

Date:July 17, 2014, 2:21 am
Name:Shane
Location:South Africa, Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth
Vehicle:Honda Civic
Year:1995
Modification:180e Honda Ballade auto
Problems:Original distributor exchanged for a second hand one. Engine management light/immobilizer light remains on, even when vehicle is running. The vehicle seems to be running in a "limp" mode, as throttle response and gear changes are lagged. ( automatic ). If it is the vehicle's immobilizer that is faulty, how can it be over-ridden. Original factory fitted unit, Mercedes Bens S.A.
Previous car:Mazda Etude 180i
