General comments:im told by aspley mazda they can submit a claim to mazda australia but will be denied due to age of vehicle. the car has done 170000km. i purchased the vehicle 8 month ago and still owe 7k on a vehicle i cant do anything with. Even if claim is submited im told the process of getting an answer is lengthy wont be resolved any time soon. no courtesy car has been supplied by mazda and as single mum financially im screwed due to what appears to be a global issue with design fault from manufactor. to make matters worse i dont currently have a home as i was due to go around australia with my caravan at the beginning of this month. the stress this is causing is taking its toll the costs of hire vehicle sp i can at least work is not viable and i dont seem to be getting anywhere with mazda. any suggestions on what my next step should be?
Problems:My 2012 cx5 mazda diesel is currently in the hands of mazda Aspley. the vehicle has been fully maintaineda.nd was taken there after the coolant overflow overflowed resulting in the dengine overheating with no warning. it was taken to mazda to get compression tested and as a result quote for repair is $16000 for a new motor. since this i have been madee aware that this is a very common problem with this particular vehicle, vin number is not part of the recall list but the issues are one and the same. to put a warranty claim through mazda to date the cost to me is just over $1000 for testing and parts to be removed requested by mazda australia. conclusion as of yesterday more testing is required. the compression in the cylinders is fine each chamber showing 200 psi. the mechanic from mazda aspley has speculated that its the head gasket issue and a water pocket is letting exhaust fumes into the cooling system.
