| I have a 1998 ML320 that does the same. Runs for 5 minutes then shuts off. What might be wrong.? |

| My 2001 ML 320 had the same problem. After replacing a few parts we discovered it was the CRANCKSHAFT SENSOR. Symptons were when the car warmed up, the engine would shut down as if you had turned the key off. Once repalced the car works like a charm. On the 2001 it is a single bolt unit located on the left side of the firewall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjr3kPLty2s Hope this helps |
