1999 Nissan Liberty the gearbox is not changing problems

| Problems: | My vehicle is Nissan Liberty 19999 hyper CVT and has got an automatic gearbox and now it is not changing after traveling say 20 km.When I let it cool down the gears start changing but once the vehicle heats it fails to change up and down. what might be the problem? | |

| i have the same problem too... i consulted with some mechanics and their view is that opening the Gear box and fixing it would not be a lasting solution, replacing a new gear box would also not last more than two year for a nissan Liberty, but they all agree that the engine is among the best. they advised me to replace the whole engine and gear box with either a RVR or Ipsum cars. I have not yet decided on that though. For now i have packed my caar and have to travel by bus with my family for Xmass Upcountry. I am willing to replace the gear box but i dont know how i can get one!!! Please help here in UGANDA |

| Usually this problem comes with mileage of the car - what's the mileage on your odometer? Replacing the whole engine and gear box with either a RVR or Ipsum would not be a wise decision. Please look for its original parts (could be sourced from Japan). If you have already already replaced the engine and gear box please let us know how you are fairing. |

| I AM USING Nissan LIBRARY 1990 AND IT HAS REACHED THE MILLAGE OF 22,646KM, BUT NOW IT CAN'T FUNCTION REVERSE GEAR, IT IS MOVING FORWARD ONLY EVEN WHEN YOU PUT REVERSE OR NEUTRAL IT WILL STILL GO FORWARD. PLEASE HELP ME. AM FROM Tanzania my WhatsApp number is 0655548679. thank you |
