General comments:My parents bought this car brand new for the Christmas of 1987, and I have been driving it since I got my drivers licence in 2000. The original clutch lasted for 130,000 miles, believe it or not, and that is the trend of the car in general. Keep oil and radiator fluid in it, and it rewards you with excellent gas mileage (28 miles per gallon in the city, up to 43 mpg on the highway) and good behavior. Right now, it has 150,000 miles on it, and the only problem with it is the oil leaking out the bottom. SUCH A GREAT CAR.
What things have gone wrong with the car:I have to replace the muffler every 6 months (can't figure out why it eats them so fast), the heat gague hasn't worked since 1998, and the power window motors are running dead. The heat sheild fell off the exhaust system, but that was easy to fix. We've had minor radiator problems, but nothing serious. It has been leaking oil for about three years.
