General comments:I have driven this car for about 4 years now, and I would have to say it's been pretty good to me. It still drives well even without 5th gear (gas mileage reduction). The main problem I have with it is that the trunk latch doesn't work and my key copy is crappy so the lock doesn't take it. Also like all good mazda's the motor almost always outlasts the body. If you're not a wiener about what your car looks like then get one of these cars seriously! Mine is at 174,900 currently with original trans. and engine which isn't too bad considering the most I put into it was like 200 bucks for a water pump and just recently a starter. Mine looks like such a hoopdy but i dig it.

(p.s. they also seem to have some sort of oil leakage on the valve cover gasket but it's no big deal I never lose any noticeable oil between changes so don't let that discourage you from buying one it's just what they do.)
What things have gone wrong with the car:Water pump, starter, battery, lost 5th gear, trunk mechanism broke, minor electrical problems and rust.
Previous car:monte carlo
