The ECHO is offered in both two and four door models. Featuring a 1.5-liter 108-hp four-cylinder engine, the ECHO boasts 34 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway in preliminary tests. The engine is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional.

It is now sold in all these markets as the "Yaris." The Yaris is sold in South America and the Caribbean. It is sold mostly in Aruba and has some illegal chains in Bolivia.
