2008 Toyota Corolla Axio gear box problem in Bangladesh

| General comments: | car was purchased about an year so far no problem. | |
| Problems: | Second gear doesnot get change with require speed it requires more accelaration . During accelaration it gives a jurck. Contacted authorised agent in Bangladesh "Navana motors". Engine was analysed in the computer and no defect was found in the engine either with fuel or gas. However problem started with CNG conversion. Engineer commented that problem with the gear box. need to be changed agter few months. | |

| Brother, the 2007 Axio has a 1st generation CVT gearbox. CVT gearboxes generate a lot of heat (they have an oil cooler running through your radiator). After CNG conversion the engine generates excess heat, which caused the CVT gearbox to malfunction. Run the car on octane for a few weeks. Also immediately do a CVT gearbox servicing with correct CVT oil for your model of car (google it). You DO NOT need a new gearbox. |

| If the car jerks during acceleration check the mount of the transmission and engine before tampering with the transmission. Always diagnose the small possibles first. |

| I bought a car (Toyota Axio 2007) in 2007. Yesterday the car suddenly stopped acceleration. The car failed to move forward but it could move backward. I sent it to a mechanic and he recommened for a new gear box to be set. I am confused. What is your honest advice? |

| My car Allion 2008 model. Suddenly it does not increase the speed. Highest speed 20kmh. I went to the workshop, they changed gear oil, clear filter, and lastly said that it's a gear box problem and I have to change it. What should i do now. |

| I both corolla axio 2007 model It couldn't do at list 1000 km! It could shift forward but not back not backward. The engender Mecanicier said that the gear box has to be changed |

| Hi. My axio 2008 model (bought from showroom in 2013) suddenly does not pick up past 40kmph. Also, gear engagement is delayed. All the garages are telling me to change the gearbox or repair it. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks |
