1989 BMW 318 car won't start problems

| Problems: | This vehicle was recently fitted with a new ignition barrel. It was driven home from Queanbeyan - near Canberra - to Bungendore, some 30 kms & now refuses to start. This was on the Friday before Christmas 23/12. Vehicle will turn over but will not fire. Fuse for fuel pump checked & is OK. Electric fuel pump can be heard working. Fuel flow has not yet been checked as battery is now flat & charging; likewise checking for spark. Question is how do I check for spark? And what else could be preventing vehicle from starting? It appears to be getting fuel & has a full tank. | |
