Problems: | My Chery QQ does not want to start especially in the mornings when cold, we have done the following to it. • New rings and bearings fitted, Compression on two pistons still lower than 3rd piston • Suspect the motor block was bored like this from the factory • Full recondition on the head, including pressure testing and vacuum testing • New temperature probe fitted • Throttle body cleaned and re fitted • Idle control valve removed, cleaned and refitted • Cold start control valve removed cleaned and refitted • No faults/codes registered on the engine management system. • Map sensor removed, cleaned and refitted • Crank sensor checked and air gap checked. • Coils checked all have the same impedance • High tension wires checked ,all ok • Sparkplugs cleaned and checked • New fuel injectors fitted • Valve clearance double checked – all ok • Valve cam timing sensor checked – all ok Head office said we must have a look at the manifold and the calitical converter, so we gonna do this and then see if it is maybe this, but will keep you all informed, just so frustrating really. | |
