| Problems: | My Chery QQ wont start up when the engin is cooled down, I need to start the engin every hour in order to be able to leave work, There is no engin light on, therefore the diagnostic machine does not pick up a fault. Please assist | |

| Seems like my 2008 Chery QQ 1.1L does the same thing. It takes me about 4 to 8 20 second cranks to get it to turn over. Once it is warm then no problem starting. I am thinking it has something to do with the fuel system somewhere like a pressure leak in the line. Funny but true, I have found out that by rocking the car back and forth side to side for about five seconds and while still rocking I turn the key and it will usually start a lot easy that way. Give it a try. If you find out what is wrong please let me know so I can get mine fixed. Thanks Mike Bucannon |

| Hve replaced , position sensor , cam shafts sensor coolant temp , tested injectors for dripping or leaking all three are fine ohm tested coils all ok replaced ignition control mod , only cranks on hot days ... only cranks over on others please any help would be greatly appreciated |

| I charged the CAMSHAFT POSITION sensor, the CRANKSHAFT POSITION sensor, the SPARKPLUGS, then I thought it might be the head gasket... I even changed that. with no difference to this cold start problem. I am now so 'gatvol' of this QQ. |

| I have the same problem my chery not starting Imperial group phoned me and asked that I look at the manifold and the calitical converter, so im going to try this as we have done the following and still nothing â?¢ New rings and bearings fitted, Compression on two pistons still lower than 3rd piston â?¢ Suspect the motor block was bored like this from the factory â?¢ Full recondition on the head, including pressure testing and vacuum testing â?¢ New temperature probe fitted â?¢ Throttle body cleaned and re fitted â?¢ Idle control valve removed, cleaned and refitted â?¢ Cold start control valve removed cleaned and refitted â?¢ No faults/codes registered on the engine management system. â?¢ Map sensor removed, cleaned and refitted â?¢ Crank sensor checked and air gap checked. â?¢ Coils checked all have the same impedance â?¢ High tension wires checked ,all ok â?¢ Sparkplugs cleaned and checked â?¢ New fuel injectors fitted â?¢ Valve clearance double checked â?� all ok â?¢ Valve cam timing sensor checked â?� all ok |

| My qq 0,8 does not start when cold. It takes about 2-3 minutes of continuous cranking to start. It starts when I kick start it, but it has to be a long down hill. When it's hot it starts immediately. I don't know what to do next. Please let me know if anyone has a solution. |

| the temperature not stable it is rises to the maximum(sometimes)but realy the temperature of the car is stable ,i think the problem was the temperature sensor but i have been changing it but the problem,what is the solution of this problem ,my car chery QQ 2014 |

| Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem with my Chery QQ 0.8 (2011). The engine takes 10 to 15 minutes of cranking to start if the car has been standing for more than +- 2 hours. Diagnostics show no error. The following items have been replaced so far: Cam Shaft sensor, Crank Shaft sensor, Battery, spark plug cables, clutch kit and a full service was done. Nothing of the previous list made any difference to the problem. Has anyone find a solution yet? Please let me know if you had. Thanks, Andre |

| I have a 2009 QQ3, so many problems. Been in the garage for over 2 years and had 3 engine overhauls. It has erratic idling, slow to rev, no power, cannot drive it. It has had all sensors replaced, cylinder head worked, cam belt, new valves and seats, catalytic converter removed,new rings, all bearings and seals from gear box up, new coils, spark plugs and leads, its like a new engine. It just won't run. What have they missed, I am desperate. |

| Engine is like motorcycle engine and has valve shims on it .After service shims must be reset on the valves.Shims are there to tell you when your vehicle needs a service.The shims will keep the valves open when the engine needs a service resulting in difficulty to start when cold because it will drop the compression in the cylinder .Get a machanic to set sth shims or take it to your closest motorcycle shop |

| The QQ3 do have a cold start that gets oily and sticky. Remove the cold start clean it and your problem is solved. |

| Cherry QQ also with this problem. When it's hot it runs like a BMW but early mornings and after long standing, cranking it to heaven and push start it is the only way. PLEASE HELP. I am getting to the point of putting it on fire but fuel is to expensive. |

| Had issues wt same car in my shop wen cold no starting and found out the immobiliser goes to limp mode only lights flashing not locking or unlocking dors and no spark it's a black immobiliser box under steering relays fail to click to supply power to computer jst bypassed immobiliser problem sorted |

| Hi, I've experienced similar issue - Chery QQ 800CC dont start immediately when cold, no problem when engine is warm. I removed the idle control solenoid cleaned it properly and lubricate plunger mechanism with lubricant spray and replaced the fuel pump relay situated in engine compartment fuse box - PROBLEM SOLVED. |

| I found four valves bended slightly, not visible with the naked eye. My struggle was found largely to be the shim setting, valves not closing properly resulting in compretion loss. Also consider looking at possibe broken compresion rings, I had that on the #2 piston. My problem was mre mechanical than electrical. |
