| Hi Hennie, Just want to find out if you sorted your Palio and what the problem was? Send my 2001 Palio 1.2 mpi in for cambelt and the full service on 140 000km, came back with this idling problem â?“ changes the plugs but continue to idling like an drag car. Could you possible assist me? All electric ok via computer â?“ and now they canâ?™t give me an answer â?“ they want to strip the head to see if it is not he valve demp seals?? | Hi Stephen, Did you finally solve the problem. I am from India & faced a similar problem in my 1.6 Palio GTX. I ran a complete diagnostic check using the dealers laptop, but the problem could not be troubleshooted.I had a similar problem of idling. The car at idling belched out black smelly smoke which stopped once the car was on the move. Since the car did not gulp oil, the piston rings were assumed to be ok. It ran fine when on the move & could pull top speeds of 180kmph. Have you checked the functioning of the oxygen sensor located on the exhaust manifold. That should most probably solve your problem. |

| i have fiat palio 1.2mpi it has no power and it uses toomuch fuel an it takes time to start an sometyme it does not start for more or less than 30min i suspected the timing but not sure may you please help. |
