Problems: | Driving 70mph on the highway and noticed it slowly decelerating, pulled off to the side of the road and even before the car stopped rolling it shut off. Put it in park and immediately tried starting it but no luck. The check engine light has been on since I bought it a month ago but no problems like this. The oil light and battery light remained on everytime I tried to start it. The batter has power and the engine turns over. As far as I could tell all of the belts worked properly. I am 24 and a woman and trying to troubleshoot this and fix it asap! | |

If the car is turning over,it seems that the bearings and piston rings are still in fine working order,if it just cutted out the problem might be that the accident trigger switch had been activated or might be faulty. Location is next to the exelerator pedal,,need to remove kickpanel on the side to be able to connect the two wires together that goes into the switch or just pressing the rubber knob might do the job |
