2001 Isuzu Wizard failed car computer problems in Kenya

| General comments: | I dearly value and love my wizard plse help me? | |
| Problems: | I was driving my car and on reaching a bump the car just went off and lost power with the dashboard displaying everything red. The car has till now never started! When ignition key is put, it produces sound like it wants to start but it doesnt start. My mechanic thinks it is its computer that has failed. Can i get another new or used co mputer for it and at what cost! | |

| convert your engine from 4jx1 to 4jg2 i've done it before and it works |

| You can go the option of replacing to 4JG2 or try this. Get a replacement oil pressure switch part no 8971370421 and harness part number 8971463386. Have the engine oil drained and top it up with FULLY SYNTHETIC oil.Plus of course change the two oil filters part numbers 8973587200 & 8943940792. Disconnect the high pressure oil pipe that goes to the rail. Crank the eng Crank the engine until oil comes out of the high pressure pipe. Recconnect the pipe and crank the engine. Will produce some whitish smoke then voila!! Ps. You need a strong battery for this exercise. Let me know how this works out by dropping me a line. Asante |

| Hi there, were you able to solve your problem? I had a similar issue while in Tanzaniaand it turned out to be a broken Camshaft Position Sensor. There is a guy in Dar who specialises in Isuzu and he was able to sort out my problem. His name is Dennis and his number is +255718730559. I still consult him via phone from Nairobi and he still remains reliable...Also, let someone do a proper diagnostics on your car and if it's the computer it can always be reprogrammed. |
