| General comments: | The ATF was rather very dark, flashed the system before refill and closing up. | |
| Problems: | My 2004 Lancer Cedia just got "powerless" on drive and will not pick up speed. Reverse working perfectly. Changed ATF (advice frm my mech) but no change. Been advised to change the gearbox..!! | |

| Miki, I am not an expert on this matter since I have a 2001 Cedia with serious gear issues but I remember a gear specialist mentioning that the Cedia cannot shift gears if one or both Road Speed Sensors are malfunctioning. This sounds like the case for your vehicle. Only two gears are operating; Reverse and 1. Cannot shift to increase speed. Hope this helps. Thanks. |

| Hi Ken and all who offered your recommendations, I took my car to a mech and was found to have worn pressure plates and another gadget which I forget it's name which had a crack which was re-welded and refitted, the whole procedure left me around 20K and 10hrs short..!! now it's working just fine.. | Mine is a Lancer CS5W, just stalled on the road. Upon opening the gearbox the gearbox chain was broken. I could only get one from another gearbox which I luckily did but the car does not feel the same and I may only rest my fears with a new gearbox, otherwise its a great car. |
