1996 Mercedes-Benz E200 idling problem

| Problems: | When on full stop when I step on the accelerator the engine lags a bit before going forward. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks Bob |

| I own a E200 kompressor, year 2000. I had the same idling problem too, and the diagnosis pointed to the Air Flow Mass sensor, I had this replaced ( ensure the replacement part is original Mercedes) and this greatly improved, however, do ensure that your dealer connects the car to the diagnosis machine after replacement of the part and clear the error code that was logged by the old mass airflow sensor, the problem has since disappeared, however, I noticed that I recurred once, but very briefly, I now suspec the other contributing factor could be from my exhaust muffler which is due for pre placement, I will have this replaced and update.
