| General comments: | can you treat this as urgent please? The car is stoped for 8 months since it came from dubai | |
| Problems: | The engine of car starts but does not throtle up, the fuel injection pump is electronic was already cleaned up and all hoses of the circuitry. The car is electrical( electronic injection no acceleration cable) I need to now how to make it accelerate, because this engine just starts, goes idle and then stops. Engine is 4m51 model chassis fe EEN81 |

| I know your problem, I have the same problem with my canter your problemis the fuel pump, The Heat rotor is wron I can't find the sapare kit for the fuel pump. Is you find please tell me where I can find the sapre kit greteens. |

| Altered fuel creates problem these type of engines thus, 6m60, 6d70,4m50,51 and all latest types. You will have to order the fuel injection pump and the common rail even the injection nozzles from Mitsubishi company japan. The diesel used in japan is too lite like petrol, in Africa diesel is heavy and some times altered with kerosene. Remember parts are expensive, if you can buy another type of engine like 4D 34 and replace it with the 4m51, it will serve you better. |

| I am an importer of used trucks from Japan and I often get MITSUBISHI CANTER 4M51 problems. The fuel injection pump is the most difficult to handle, but I can fix. The cost to fix is US$1,500.00, but I must have pump at hand before I fix the problem. After I fix, I can test run on one of my trucks and send you a video. | 2001 fe640 with 4m50-1at2 engine , engine start revs out,up to 3200 rpm no problem but when driven no power, sluggish wont go fast just slow at WOT still no torque being produce, seems like it lacking fuel. sometimes it stalls, got a code 24 edc-svc, check the timing good compression, injector sending fuel , but i didn't check injector patterns. it like the injection pump timing could be of, however it start right up. i engage timing solenoid, it changes up to 25 degree, still no power when timing is advanced! so i think its a fuel quantity problem. could be injector but i doubt it. there a pulsing 'big nut screw in' solenoid on top. running about 1850 hz duty cycle about 97 , however still no power. could it be the pulsing valve or the EDC just doin the wrong thing.or is it the injection pump itself, which be be expensive guess to take. anyone out there have any ideas please share. |
