Problems: | Got a lancer CK2 1496 cc after testing the consumption - filling the tank and noting the milleage ,then later refilling and checking the distance covered showed an average of 10.3km/l both highway and town driving. i feel this is way high . i recently overhauled the supension and tyres and fit in the proper plugs. please advise on what to service, currently ive read of servicing the distributor and also diagnosing of the engine, i however dont know a competent garage / individual who can execute such |

Engine was already old. Ask mechanic to perform engine compression test. Some cylinders or valves were leak due burnt oil or carbon deposits. You can confirm this by looking spark plug gap if have oil. Loose compression engine tends to high fuel consumption due to leak in combustion chamber. |
