2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia transmission problems

| Problems: | The car does not accelerate jst stuck to one gear forward. The Neutral lghts keep flashing. Mechanic adviced me to change gear transmission fluid but am still skeptic what could be the solution? please advice me. |

| @fridah its tough compared to lancers n galants,fuel econ upto 16kpl, it only requires good quality fuel (the gdi type engine) n regular service on transmission(the automatic type) |

| @Fridah, do not buy this model. The car is unreliable, expensive to maintain and had a host of problems that will drain your money especially gear box, chasis etc. |

| Dont bother changing the atf(gearbox) fluid or even servicing the gearbox, you will be wasting your money.trust me, I had the exact same problem. just buy another gearbox, new or used. |

| Im having the same problem. Have spent so much money and replaced so many parts and now its down to taking off the gearbox. Scared to try it as im not sure how costly its going to be and whether it will sort the problem. Someone said it would be the pressure pump or the pressure valve of the gear box. Not sure though. Any experiences? |

| The car is shit. never buy a GDI engine. unreliable and too sensitive. gearbox is terrible. |

| I have a 2003 GDI cedia, Its a good car while it lasts, but problems with plugs, air sensor which is like 10ksh now it just jerked and stall. transmission problems, tried changing thing but to no avail. trust me it is a shit car. Now I am looking for another gearbox. I regret buying this piece of junk. |
