General comments: | Fantastic vehicle and no problems in 5.5 years of ownership, other than above. | |
Problems: | Engine keeps cutting out due to the fluctutations of the tickover revolutions. I have been told that the engine runs hotter than other models, mine is a GDS. Can you tell me what sparkplug I should use. At present it is fitted with Mitsubishi recommended plug NKG BKR6EKUC. |

Idle resetting, Mitsubishi iO Pajero To fix this you have to reset the idle as follows: If cold, start car and take up to normal temp. Switch the ignition key to "lock" (OFF) for 10 seconds. Start engine and leave to idle for 10 minutes. Turn off and immediately restart with air con on, fan on full and windows down; run for further 10 minutes. Again turn off and immediately restart with air con on, fan on full and windows down, run for 10 minutes. Your idle is now reset. |
