1999 Mitsubishi Pajero iO rpm fluctuates, cant engage 4l in 4x4 mode problems

| Problems: | Need help/advice: 1. My 1999 Pajero IO GDI's engine RPM fluctuates when idling. Also, experienced power loss when climbing uphill. 2. An over-enthusiastic friend engaged 4L when slow moving once and the lever got stuck and cant pull back to 2H. Mechanic managed to get it back by disassembling the top lever. 2H to 4H is no problem but as soon as pushed to 4L and it'll get stuck. 2 conflicting comments by mechanics: one is the lever and another is the 4x4 gearbox. |
