| General comments: | I'm a self-taught mechanic for over 30 years. Work on many different makes/models of cars esp. older ones but never work on a LeSeyde or Sylvia (I believe this car uses the CA18 - non-turbo 1.8 16 valves twincam engine). I would surely appreciate if anyone out there could help me here. | |
| Problems: | Just bought this baby 3 or 4 months ago. Last week I went for a spin and came back without any sign of trouble. But, next morning the car could start. That is, battery's strong because it cranks (still now) well and strong but engine just doesn't start/run. I suspect the fuel pump could be the problem but found out that it's pumping ok when I dry-tested (I took it out from the tank and connected direct to the battery!) | |
