Problems: | The motor still runs fine, and aside from the smoke the car is actually in good condition for age and millage 248,000k. It needs 2 new front tyres and a wheel alignment. It is also 30,000 overdue for a service. I'm not sure what needs doing to fix the smoking issue. The smoke is a light grey colour. Most of the time I can't even notice or see it. But every now and then it has a real fit and spurts out a heap of grey smoke. This usually seems to happen if the car has been standing for a while. I have also noticed it happens if I have put oil in the motor. | |

oil change may do wonders for it or may be worn valves not setting properly |

check your valve stem seals it might have gotten hard from the standing of the car |
