1996 Toyota Corona Premio high idle speed problems in New Zealand

| Problems: | idle speed goes up high when cold start to 1000 rpm first. Once engine runs warm, the idle speed goes to 1200 rpm at all time. however, when Aircon turns on, the idle speed downs to 600~700 rpm which is very very normal. What could be wrong with the computer controlled idle speed? any possible sensors for detecting engine running condition could go wrong so that the feedback to main computer with wrong recognition of engine status that gives the car a higher idle speed at all time? pls help. | |
