2000 Mercedes-Benz E200 radio won't turn off problems in Norway

Problems:Hi,
My daughter played around with my car radio (original MB radio "radio audio 10", no cd changer). It was turned on when the engine was off. Now the radio will not turn off when I turn off the car (have to turn off the radio manually). Additionally, the steering wheel control panel does not respond. In the dashboard display " Audio _ _ _ _" is shown. Any advice will be highly apreciated. Thx

I had the same problem yesterday and turned the car to the dealer. It is a 2008 GL 450.
The radio will not go off even if we turn everything off and get out. The ac works and door controls work but the entire navigation / radio and steering wheel controls don't work. The radio remains turned on and cannot be shut off.
I will let the dealers fix it because it has an extended warranty. This may be the last mercedes benz i get.
The cars run great but problems crop up frequently.
