1997 Opel Astra not starting problems

| Problems: | I lost car keys, got new ones cut with a blank transponder fitted, got a key tech to try and reprogramme key to sync with computer box so that it can start, but he failed, what could be the problem? he says that maybe the keys have been lost several times before and have reached the limit, is this true? |

| my opel cant start.when i turn the key the imobiliser control indicator flashes.i did try it several times but it dont work.if someone can plse help me with that i will be greatfull |

| Opels I have learnt yu must always get a second opinion. YU have already made several blunders in trying to get your Astra to start. An easier thing would have been to bypass the immobiliser. There is also the 30-second method. Here's how but I doubt if it will work as yu have done so many things already: 1 Insert key to dashborad on 2 Remove battery termial wait for thirty secs 3 Put terminal back 4 Press both buttons on key and switch off. NB: This method may make you electric windows not to open. In which case repeat procedure but just dont press anything on key If this fails and you are sure its the computer box failing yu, which I doubt, change the ignition coil. |
