1999 Toyota Nadia car switching off while driving problems in Others

| Problems: | The car developed a problem of switching off when you drive it for some time. This usually happens during a hot day and when you are driving in low speed especially during braking or releasing of after a long drive. Once this happens it will not start until you wait for some time then it will pick up. At times it happens when you just picking it at home you leave there the following day it starts with no problem at all. This has been happening for over six months though not every day but almost every 2 weeks or monthly. Computer checking has been done no tangible solution. Please advise! | |

| me too. i have the same problem.at first disconecting a switch which controls fans was helpful but now it has become useless....need help pliz.someone once said the problem was with a d4 pump....is ther such thing.and what does it do? |

| How are you.Have you tried replacing your plugs with the platinum double plugs.d4 engines require esp Nadia, Corona use those ones although the convectional ones can still work.They are very expensive though |

| Hi Guys I use a Toyota Nadia 2001 model, It has the problem of starting on a hot day, especially after drive. This problem happens every summer. In winter, the car runs very well. I managed to first solve this problem by changing the fuel pump on the D4 engine. After that it has never given me a problem. I used to press gas, when starting it, and it usually starts.Though its a bit noisey. Turning on your aircon also helps, because the funs will start running. The pump you can get on Alibaba, they are many companies from China, who can make for you I hope this is helpful to you guys |

| I had the same problem. Solved now. The reason is simple, and easy to fix. Under the exhaustl recycle tank, there are two holes sending air in the engine. They were almost closed because of dirt, and just a small hole remained to absorbe air in the engine. My engineer cleaned the dirt with a knife, and that's it. The problen solved permanently. |

| if your car switches off while you are driving amf you wait for a moment then it restarts, it means your pump needs to be changed. do not keep your car below 15litres of fuel coz the pump in the tank is cooled by petrol. |
