1995 Renault 19 immobiliser cannot be turned off problems

| General comments: | If this is not possible then a perfectly good running car ends up on the scrape heap. | |
| Problems: | The central locking remote controls the immobiliser via a 'transponder' which no longer works. The transponder that links the central locking remote to the immobiliser is faulty. The Renault dealer ordered the part from Renault in France which does not have the same connections as the original. Renault apparently no longer makes or supply the required part. Is there away to turn off the immobiliser permanentley still allowing the car to run? | |
