| General comments: | All the mechanics thinks it the computer needs to be changed after changing the ignition coils, spark plugs, timing belt, control censor, filters and also numerous batteries and the problem is geting worse as the vehicle is off the road It a 1999 Toyota Nadia with VIN# GF-SXN10-AHSEH and Chassis #SXN10-0032117. | |
| Problems: | My Car Closes off when you slow down, when it gets hot and also closes off when you try to use it more. and also you must disconnect the computer for it to restart. | |

| Hie I have a Toyota Nadia 2001 model and it has been giving me the same problem, it cuts off when i am on traffic lights, in the highway its a supar machine, the only problems starts when i slow down in traffic.It took me a long time to realise what the problem was,just like you did, i went from one mechanic to another and they all put it on diagnosis machine but all they could tell me was change your coolent..=).. one guy then advised me to change my fuel pump, and that worked out and until today the car is running. Nadias have two fuel pumps, one from the tank and one from the engine, so you need to change the one from the engine thats the one which always give problems and also change your temparature switch, attimes when the car is hot, the Nadias have a system of protecting the car from Damaging by cutting off..but just to be sure its a temparature switch, keep the car on after a 5km drive on a hot day ,open your car and see if the funs are not running..you need to really wait before they can run,at times 10minates like in my case, if the funs works then you are safe your problem is within your fuel, first use unleaded petrol and if that does'nt change use premium because it has some lubrication in it..if all that fails then change the fuel pump..that should help.. |

| pliz help me also..how do i locate the fuel pump.and also one other guy said the problem was with a d4 pump....is ther such thing and wats its function?..thanx |
