Problems: | Block was schemed, they took off too much, the pistin pressed agaist the vavle and that in turn against the block Could not find a shim, then altered the valve timing, drove quite some time with the car .It started to PING, Piston burned and oil pushed up passed the pistons Crank had marks on the engineers said the journals is damaged, they then cut to big, cannot get either the mains or big ends in the size theyve cut Please help need sub assembly | |

Daihatsu Terios 2005 1300 vvti (70 000km):Overheating when you exceed 120km/h.Heat gauge needle is usually half way btween hot & cold but if you exceed 120km/h it goes up to three quaters of the way.Because I am afraid it will get damaged I reduce the speed to below 120 km/h. Cooling Liquid OK.Radiator clean.Electrical Fan is working - also with aircon |

I have recently bought a 1999 that has developed over heating problems, not all the time. Can run fine on long journeys, but on some short journeys over heats, new radiator, new water pump, new thermostat. Water from the radiator overflows into the bottle and, when full, overflows the bottle. Head gasket OK. |
