Remove the column and turn the shaft by hand holding the housing in a Vice. If it is tight then loosen it.The gear between the power steering motot and shaft musy be tight. this can be checked by removing the reduction gear and then try turning the shaft holding the housing in a vice. If it is loose then you have found the problem. |
