2007 Toyota Corolla Axio keyless remote problems

| General comments: | I have G grade Toyota Axio.Its a perfect familly car.Only worry is the Keyless remote.Once while driving,Got a flash on dashboard showing,Showing remote not in car,When in fact remote was inside.This happenened coz battery in remote was low.It was solved after changing battery,Now i worry,If remote stops working,How to start engine, It got no alternative ignition except remote key.We cannot either make copy of this remote,And I got only one remote,Its like sitting on time bomb,Thinking if accidentally it get damaged or stops working.Any other mean to start engine?????? | |

| I am in a similar situation. I went to Toyota Lanka today. They want me to pay Rs 40,000/= for a spare remote key!!! This is what you call a RIP OFF!!! Please let me know if you find a better solution Weerasinha |

| If your car shows key not in car and you can't start engine then press the engine start/stop button with the remote instead of finger and the engine will start. |

| If you have to start the car and the battery in the key is dead, all you have to do is hold the key close to the start button when you ready to start with you foot on the brakes and the light will turn green and you just hit the start button and it will start |
