1996 Toyota Estima Lucida very loud noise problems

| Problems: | I have inspected the bus on a ramp and when I looked through the flywheel inspection slot I can see the heads of the flywheel nuts severly damaged I presume from hiting the block hence the very loud clanking sound I spoke to a gearbox specialist and he told me that is could be the camshaft thrust washers giving play and allowing the flywheel to catch on the block but when i move the pulley from front to back there is no play so i assume that the thrust washers are ok. what else could it be |
