2000 Toyota Gaia vibrates too much problems

| Problems: | I recently bough a Totoya gaia locally.the problrm is that when I start it rev is so high then it goes down to just below one.The vibrating is when you start to accerlate then stops with speed and vibrates againg when slowing down or stopping.It also vibrates a lot when you put it into neutral and when you put the aircon. Is this normal. | |

| Hi its not o.k, i suggest u get a mechanic to check the exhaust mounting. Due to its small ground clearance its easy to strain the mounting. Check both middle and rear. |

| I had a similar problem and failed to figure out the problem till I replaced my brake pads. You need to check the engine mounting. It may be damaged because after I replaced the mounting the noise if off. |

| i have a Gaia 2000 model and its low level fuel warning light is not coming on, the bulb itself is fine, what would be the problem? |

| I have a Gaia and had the same problem. I looked and looked at the exhaust and couldn't find the problem. When I pushed on the exhaust or engine, the vibration went away. Ended up being the right side motor mount. It's liquid filled and it had blown. Changed the mount and all vibrations went away. It was easy to change. Unfortunately, two weeks ago (1.5 years later) the noise came back. I'm assuming that all the pot holes here in Nairobi are too much for this tender system. |

| I have a similar problem with my Gaia 2002 model.It vabrates a lot in the morning especially in cold weather when in park and vibration is heard as you travel to the extent that some people mistsken for a disiel engine.The problem began when I hit a ditch on my way from Tanzania January last year.There are visible impact marks on the ehaust just below the manifold. It was from that moment that it started to produce this hoarse sound at it had some leaking fluid (ATF) from the right side of the engine for a few hours but the leak stopped overnight. |
