M is for driving the car in 'manually' in the sense that you have change gears up and down using buttons on the steering wheel. The one on top is marked 'Down' meaning this is for change down and the one just ddirectly under the 'Down' one is marked 'UP' meaning its for changing up as you accelerate. When driving in M, the gears only change automatically to 1 when yu stop the car, however, when yu take off from that stop, yu have to change the gears up manually. |
