2005 Toyota Passo o/d problem

| Problems: | My toyota passo (1000 c.c )o/d function is not working properly. when i get started, then o/d light on dash board shows auto on & off without touching o/d button and when i change gear( D ) it becomes very heavy and moves slowly and make huge sound,and seems car want to jump, i could'nt move easily, after a few hour( swiched off the car) it become okay automatically and again it turn problem automatically.nobody can solve the problem. how can i solve the problem.last 15 days i am getting this problem and it become okay automatically. please inform as soon as possible. | |

| Bought passo 2005 model inn April'11 but fuel consumption is vey heighg 5.5km/litre. |

| Soumen...that is something odd. My Avalon 3.0L burns 10L/100km and yours is ~18L/100km (on a 1L=1000cc engine!). Check the air filter for clogging. Clogged air filter cause more fuel burning and makes the engine a gas guzzler. Tito...your O/D sensor switch/solenoid may be failing/failed but that should not cause the car to jump or drive erratically. It may be some other problem with the transmissiion. |

| When I start my car . The o/d light start to blink and engine check light also gets on. And when I switch the gear to drive the car be like it jumps. So please help me |

| Dear Saad, i also had this same problem in my passo 2009, i,e OD light blinking and car jumps when transfer from neutral to drive mode. But when mechanic changed its gear sensor all the matter were solved and car runs now smoothly. |

| i have problems starting my 2005 toyota passo using the keyless remote.I often have to fiddle around with it before it starts,do i need to change the battery?if i do can i take it to my local toyota dearlership to get new battery and at what cost.Also can i use the key to start up car. |

| Had the same problem. I scanned my car got a fault code p0773. Changed the solenoid(inside the gearbox). Now my car is running fine. |

| The repairs kost about $270. Because service the gearbox also. |

| I HAVE 2004 PASSO AND HAVE THE OVERDRIVE LIGHT BLINK WHEN I ACCELIRATE FAST OR IF THE CAR IS HOT , THE SOLUTION IS SCAN THE CAR AND ERASE THE CODES ALL WILL BECOME NORMAL ,JUST DRIVE NORMAL AND THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVE ,IF RE ACCURE JUST ERASE CODE AGAIN THANK BLESS |
