2005 Toyota Passo eps light problems

| Problems: | The EPS light has come on twice now in 4 days and the steering wheel becomes very stiff trying to drive out of the parking lot.what does it mean since the steering and break fluid is ok still at full level. | |

| I do have the same problem of my Passo, the EPS ligh is on, the engine check and hand break lights are on and I can't drive out because the wheels became hardly! I don't know what's going on... |

| I too have the same problem. when i turn the key i hear a click then the EPS goes on and my steering hardens. Has Anyone been able to find a solution ? |

| As described above my problem was solved. usually the brushes in the Motor that is connected to the Steering column that assist (Power assist) the steering when turning were worn out. After the Brushes were replaced, i have not experienced the problem for 2 months now. I have actually read a couple of people solved the same problem by having the motor cleaned though this is a Temporary solution. |
