1998 Toyota Progres poor starting and idle in the morning problems

| Problems: | 2 days ago, my car started a slight misfire and very poor idling and the engine stalls now with low pick up and black smoke. i did a diagnostics test and all errors were worked on (cleaned the accuator). but its still bothering me and i'm thinking of replacing the fuel filter and pump. someone out there advise me on what the problem could be or the best garage i could visit to sort this once and for all. | |

| I had a similar problem and changing fuel filter and pump didn't make a difference until we changed the idling motor. Seems most 1998 progreses have that problem. Try it also. Costs about UGX 800K |

| Toyota proges is a wonderfull car but with very high tech which requires computer dignosis for most problems. Mechanics in Uganda are Usually illiterate and learn by experimenting on your car. chances are that for you who bought an idling motor at 800K the car simply needed adjustment on the Idling sensor. and no spare parts.at all. |

| MY CAR WAS PERFOMING QUITE WELL SINCE JULY 2013 BUT IN JANUARY 2015 IT STARTED TO HAVE VERY LOW IDLING AND SOMETIME THE ENGINE JUST CUT. WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM |
