1998 Toyota Starlet not starting intermitantly problems

| Problems: | From time to time the engine will not start. Normally it starts first time even after being left for some days/weeks. Usually breaks down after it has been used during the day. I just get a clicking sound. Tried jumper leads but no difference. Would not start yesterday afternoon, left it all night and it started first turn of the key. Battery is only about a year old. The car is an Automatic. The car has only done about 65,000km. | |

| I am having a similar problem. Mine is a 97 manual. i have changed the coil pack but still no change. did you have any luck fixing the issue. Mine cuts out, and now will not start or even turn |

| Car will not start then suddenly it does. Recently I starter makes a skidding noise. And all lights will dip. |
