Problems: | My land cruiser Prado TX, petrol, has been running great and pleasant on road. However, recently it tends to switch off when you slow down the speed towards zero speed such as in a traffic jam or on traffic bumps. After the road clears and you want to accelerate, it first struggles to pick up speed but after it has attained higher speeds then it picks up well. What should I do to stop it switching off in traffic jams? Thank you. |

Start with the basics, check your leads, plugs and air filter. Perhaps try cleaning your maf sensor (with MAF sensor cleaning fluid) to see if that fixes or improves it. Potentially there could also be an air leak after the MAF sensor. |

My Toyota Prado turbo diesel 1 kz te has a similar problem and puffs out black smoke and the engine jerks. What could be the cause? |
