1989 Honda Accord idles too high on startup/shutdown problems in United States

| Problems: | Car idles too high when coming to a stop and putting the car in park...I need to shut it down in D4 due to this. We changed the spark plugs (platinum), installed a new air filter and adjusted the carberator. It helped a little, but the problem is still there. Since it idles way too high, going from park to reverse to drive is sudden and jerky. | |
