1997 Lexus LS400 charging/electrical problems in United States

| Problems: | Installed new battery and alternator (within last 2mo.) On the phone with wife...she says the "battery light" came on, then the gauges started bouncing around, and other lights (i.e.) ABS and perhaps others came on. She made it within 6' of the garage, and it died, and would not go into park, nor even roll up her windows. I charged for an hour and a half. Started right up, with no erratic gauges or lights. Bad alternator? Can it be checked, without removal,as it is underneath? Any other possible culprits? |
