1990 Lexus LS400 wont start problems in United States

| Problems: | the car overheated and died..temp guage was reading ok and no major noise or smoke but it was out of water..it has spark and cranks over but it does not attempt to fire like it is lacking gas. checked all fuses in both panels and they are all good..is there a relay or safety shutoff when it overheats? any ideas are welcome | |
