| Problems: | I have a 1996 Eclipse Rs with 2.0 Engine and 5 speed while I am driving the car shuts off one time took it to the mechanic he said fuel pump replaced that still doing the same thing he said fuel filter did that no change and then another one said ignition coil for the spark plug did that still the same problem now another one telling me could be the computer or the crank position sensor I am tired from spending money on the car any one of you guys knows what could be the problem I w really will appreciate that, thanks Jamal |

| Man im having the same problem as you on my 97 eclipse rs 2.0 . Its driving me crazy it will shut off and turn back on if im moving down the road. iv done the same replaced all but fuel pump but i looked at it and made sure its working right. I keep being told it could be the brain so im going to spend the money to replace my computer sometime in the next week or two. I will re-post if it fixes it or if you find out whats up with it let me know please!! P.S. Dont mess with the VSS sensor lol |

| I have the samething it turns off but I started again and runs fine and I have drove it for a while now and everything points to the ecu but lately the engine shakes more than usual and I have no power while driving can't go uphill and does not speeds up just gradually gains speed and I searched it could be the ecu the piston 1 and 4 might not be firing I gatta check the code and I guess replace the ecu |

| Its not the camshaft sensor I replaced mine same problem, mines over heating at running temp and starts bucking ,to calm down gave to turn ac fan on any clues |
