| Problems: | A guy I do repos for gave me a 1997 Neon, because he did not want to work on it. It has an anti-theft device on it, and we cannot get it running. A mechanic friend of mine started ripping out the device, and wiring, in hopes of getting rid of it all. It still won't start. When you turn the key, he said the battery stops pulling the full 12 volts or amps or whatever. It drops real low. Do you have any advice? Like it is shorting something out, or something else. He did jump across something and got the starter to try to turn over. I don't know if that helps, but I don't think he knows what he is doing. Thank you BJ | |
