| lisa~ i also have a 2000 land cruiser with new alternator and battery ~ and starting the vehicle is getting worse ~ maybe after 5 or so tries of trying with getting complete silence it may eventually start~ did u ever find the cause of your problem? mechanics here in PA think im insane lol thanks for your time ~ jodi |

| get your starter motor checked on diesel cars its very important to check you glow plugs are all good because they heat the cold engine and it starts quicker if your glow plugs are faulty your car take long time to start specially when its cold |

| ihave same problem and finaly got it solved. the relay did not make the glowplugs warm enough the time was to short. i put in a whole new relay system and it works like new. |
