2001 Volkswagen Caravelle auto transmission has "burnt out" again problems

| Problems: | We purchased the caravelle a year ago, just after it had auto transmission replaced at cost of around $5,000 to the previous owner. Warranty was 30 days. Now it has failed again, and the repair cost will be even more than that. Is this normal for this vehicle? Does anyone else have this problem? | |
