Problems: | Ran out of fuel as I approached fuel station and refueled but after refueling the car could start. I asked a mechanic to look at it and we changed the injectors and fuel pump but now the car is not starting. If you crank you will find petrol in No. 3 cylinder. The mechanic suggested that we have to replace the computer box but I did not buy the idea. | |

If it's a toyota starlet,it has to be of a 4piston engine accordingly! Only plug no.3 being filled with fuel can't limit it from starting,it has to be a faulty in all. (1) Checkout for spark presence along the plugwires. (2)Look out for the presence of an engine check light in the dashboard,if absent check out the EFI 15A fuse if blown, replace another one.if good, (3) Connect a multimetre to coil +B 12V if present. (4)Connect a multimeter to coil -B & +B for a pulse from the igniter,If present but no spark replace a with a new coil,if absent check out for an ignitor/peaker. (5)Check out for the presence of an IGF signal back to ECU and the connector continuity. (6)Check for an IG timing. (7)Check spark plugs (8)ECU faulty (9)Fuel valve seals open at all time during cranking. NB.check for ECU both +B,+B1,BATT and negatives presency!!! THANKS |
