| General comments: | Not much; we bought her new and since that time have driven 175,000 HARD miles! I drive her like the go-cart she is. Handling blows away more expensive sports cars due to wide track, weight distribution and accomplishes this on only 13 inch tires and wheels!!! Only additions to factory original car are maintenence items such as tires, tune-ups, brakes, CV joints, muffler. Civic still has her original CLUTCH and 5 spd! Suspension, shocks, light bulbs, switches, etc all original from factory! You cannot buy a better built car at any price! Honda engineering is supreme! I will drive her until she grenades engine, maybe @ 300,000 miles? |
| What things have gone wrong with the car: | Only REAL problem was a headlight leaked water (replaced after warranty expired by fabulous Honda dealer for free)and the car also would not start a few times(ignitor, small cost.)That's the two problems we had since 1990. |

| Hi John: Just bought a 1990 Civic DX sedan 4dr. It has 143000KM or about 80000 miles! Body is really good. Interior is absolutely mint! It seems like a pretty good car. Any recommendations? Can I go with bigger tires and rims? |
